The International Student
Recruiter and Advisor will work closely with staff in the Office
of International Programs and the Office of Admissions. This
individual will be responsible for planning and conducting outreach
activities related to recruitment, admission, and initial academic support
of international students at Northern State University. This
individual serves as the institutional designee responsible for assisting
in the development of an international marketing plan and accompanying materials;
conducting university outreach activities to international students
through differing venues (i.e., in person, on the internet and
virtually); developing external partnerships, through our exchange
partner institutions, Education USA and other venues; and attending
international recruiting fairs (in person or virtually).
In addition to the recruitment
activities listed above, the individual in this position will serve as
the academic advisor to international undergraduate students,
providing transitional assistance into
academic programs.
