Volunteer at the Habitat Restore

Be a regular volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County ReStore and build relationships that last a lifetime! Available positions include Sales Assistants, Showroom Staging, Bookstore, Donation Pick-Up, Donation Intake, Donation Repair and Facility Maintenance. Volunteers keep the store running, raising money to build houses for those in need in our community! Some positions require lifting of up to 50 pounds; many do not. AmeriCorps - Habitat Construction Liason

Join the efforts of Habitat for Humanity as an AmeriCorps service member. AmeriCorps is a federally funded grant that operates as the domestic version of the Peace Corps. The AmeriCorps position of Construction Services Liason with the Monroe County Habitat affiliate will work during their 11-month position to build multiple homes at a time, supervise crews and asssist in developing volunteer crew leaders. An education award of $5500 is granted to each member upon completion of a successful term of service in addition to an annual living stipend, medical insurance, and optional housing. You do not have to be a construction expert to be considered for this role - just have a willingness to learn, a love for volunteers, and a passion for eliminating poverty housing in Monroe County! Construction with Habitat for Humanity - Sept. 1

Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County invites you to build with them on Sat., Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Broadview neighborhood. Habitat builds simple, decent homes in partnership with qualifying families. Because houses are principally built with volunteer labor, the interest-free mortgage payments are affordable.  Minimum age is 16. Construction Volunteers - May 19, 26; June 2, 16, 23, 30

Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to work on their construction site on May 19 and 26 and on June 2, 16, 23, and 30 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. No construction experience is needed as their staff will train volunteers in all the tasks.
