SUMMARY OF POSITION
IREX seeks a part-time intern to provide programmatic and administrative support for IREX’s media, technology and civil society development programs. This intern will work primarily on citizen journalism training, digital security and media production programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist
with program logistics including travel and contractual agreements
- Assist
with report writing and editing
- Translate
relevant documents and online content
- Perform
research and analysis as required
- Compile
program statistics
- Update
and format web content
- Other
duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
The intern must be very well organized, able to work independently, skilled at handling multiple tasks, able to adhere to deadlines and have a strong working knowledge of Dari or Farsi.
Other qualifications:
- Excellent
writing and editing skills
- Excellent
interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong
working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Google communications,
publishing and web analytics tools
- Bachelor’s
degree
IREX is seeking an intern available to work 20 hours a week, though the schedule is flexible. An hourly stipend will be provided. This internship is open immediately.
