Woven Treasures - Village, Nomad, & Tribal Textiles

Get an early start on your 2011 Lotus Festival by joining us from September 2- 30 at the Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center for Woven Treasures - Village, Nomad, & Tribal Textiles from the Near- and Middle East.

Featuring pieces from the collection of George Malacinski and Kirstine Lindemann, Woven Treasures is a special project of the Lotus Visual Arts Committee that inaugurates what will be a series of annual Lotus Festival exhibitions showcasing works from significant local collections of cultural artifacts.
All the fun of Woven Treasures continues when George Malacinski presents free exhibition collector's tours on Tuesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 15 from 6pm.

We look forward to seeing you this Friday and in the byways of the Lotus Festival in just a few weeks' time!

The Lotus Education & Arts Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with the mission of creating opportunities to experience, celebrate, & explore the diversity of the world's cultures through music and the arts.
