February 1 EASC Special Lecture: K. Peter Kuchinke



The first EASC special lecture of the spring semester is Friday, the 1st of February. Please note the special lecture will take place at the Walnut Room in the IMU.

PRESENTER: K. Peter Kuchinke (Education Policy, Organization and Leadership, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
TOPIC: “Career Research and Preparation for Work and Life after College”

The career literature provides important insights into the changing nature of work and career that should inform students as they prepare to transition from school to work. This session will review recent research and encourage students to assess their own plans and strategies as they prepare to enter the workforce.
K. Peter Kuchinke is a Professor in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he also serves as Director of Graduate Studies. He is President-Elect of the University Council for Workforce and Human Resource Education and Erasmus Mundus PromoDoc Ambassador. His current research interests focus on human resource development graduate education, continuing professional education in the professions, and the meaning of professional work. Much of his research and service work take place in international and comparative settings, including North America, Western Europe, and Asia.
