Academic Language and Culture at U.S. Universities for International Students

SLST-T125 Academic Language and Culture at U.S. Universities for International Students has been added to the Spring 2013 Schedule of Classes.  The class is intended for international students are either exempt from the IEPE (based on International Admission’s standards) or pass the IEPE (not needing any English-language improvement classes). 

 

SLST-T125 will meet TR 4:00-5:15 pm in BH 245. The section number is 33968.

 

Description: 

Introduction for international students to academic language and culture at universities within the United States with a focus on language and communication in use for interaction in the classroom setting and other learning environments. Engagement in academic, linguistic, and experiential discovery of the university as a cultural space with the goal of ensuring academic success.

 

This is a full semester class.
