(3 cr.) (GenEd S&H) (CASE S&H)   (TR, 4:00 – 6:00 pm, 2nd 8 weeks) ( FQ012B)    What can the histories of young people like Harry Houdini, Ché Guevara, M.I.A., Bart Simpson, Henry Rollins, Grandmaster Flash, Beavis, Butt-head, and Daddy Yankee tell us about  revolution in the modern Americas (from Canada to Argentina)?  How can the histories of young people help us to understand the greatest ideas of the last two centuries - democracy, socialism, populism, fascism, anti-communism, and post-modernism?  This class answers these questions by studying the role of young people across the Americas in revolutions - cultural, political, social, and economic.
