Greetings from the Turkish Flagship at IU!
On Saturday, October 20, from 9am – 4pm, the Turkish
Flagship is pleased to present a one day workshop given by Dr. Francois Tochon
(http://www.education.wisc.edu/wle/wle/bios/default.asp?PageID=19),
University of Wisconsin, on the Deep Approach to Turkish Teaching and
Learning (http://deepapproach.wceruw.org/).
Dr. Tochon and the Turkish Flagship wish to open this
workshop to any member of the instructional, research or administerial
communities at IU for whom a discussion of methodologies related to second
language acquisition, self-directed language study, the 5Cs Standards of
ACTFL, and how Deep Approach may suit one’s own instructional style and further
would brighten a Fall day in Bloomington.
This workshop is presented free of charge, and will take
place in the Distinguished Alumni Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on Saturday,
October 20, 2012 from 9am-4pm, with a Noon-1pm lunch period. Lunch
is not included in this workshop.
