National Scholarships

•Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program:
The Gilman Scholarship provides awards of up to $5,000 for 2,300 U.S. undergraduate students who receive or are eligible for federal Pell Grants. The scholarship application deadlines are October 2, 2012, for Spring 2013 programs and early March for Summer, Fall and AY 2013-14 programs.
•Freeman-Asia Scholarship: The Freeman-Asia scholarship is a national scholarship program that provides funding to students who demonstrate financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Awards are up to $7,000 for academic year programs; up to $5,000 for semester programs; and up to $3,000 for summer programs. Application deadline are October 10 for Spring 2013 programs; mid-February for Summer 2013 programs; and early April for Fall and AY 2013-14 programs.
•NSEP Boren Scholarship:Boren scholarships provide up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in non-traditional areas of the world on language intensive programs. This includes study in Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East. The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are excluded. Students should have an interest in working for the federal government. Campus application deadline is late January 2013 for Summer 2013 (STEM students only, 8 weeks or longer programs), Fall/AY 2013-14 programs and Spring 2014 programs.
