Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
change the lives of abused and neglected children by representing their best
interests in court. Monroe County CASA needs community members like you to
become child advocates! Advocates monitor the child's health and education,
help identify the child's best interests, submit recommendations, and are sworn
officers of the court. Training is Sept. 24-Oct. 29 and classes meet Monday and
Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Advocates need to be 21 with reliable
transportation and daytime flexibility. Volunteers work 10-15 hours a month.
Applications are due Sept. 10th and are found at www.monroecountycasa.org/volunteer.
