IU World's Fare 2011
In celebration of International Education Week, the Office of International Services and Union Board have partnered again to bring the fifth IU World's Fare to the campus and Bloomington communities. Mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 16th, 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the IMU Alumni Hall. IU students with ID will receive one free ticket to sample eight dishes and non-students can purchase a ticket for $4 to also sample eight dishes.
Indian Student Association –Formal Diwali Dinner/Show
Friday, November 18th, 7:00-10:00 p.m., at Willkie Auditorium
The Indiana Student Association will have a formal Diwali dinner with a performance show during dinner. ISA is looking for performers who can sing or dance. Anyone who is interested in performing during the show, please contact the ISA board ASAP via email: isa@indiana.edu . Formal Indian Attire or any form of Formal Attire preferred.
Pakistani Student Association Talent Show
Friday, December 2nd, 6:00 p.m. at Woodburn Hall, Room 100
The Pakistani Student Association is organizing a talent show to help raise funds for the flood victims in Pakistan. Thousands of people have been left homeless, suffering due to the lack of the most basic resources, including clean drinking water. Prizes will be given to student group winners. First place: $100, Second Place: $75, Third Place: $50 (The prize money is awarded courtesy of Asian Culture Center). Tickets will be sold for $5. All ticket sales will go to the Edhi Foundation (edhi.org) for assistance in flood relief. For more information contact Nabhan Karim: nskarim@indiana.edu
