Shaffer Leadership Intern Program

Are you a student who cares about leadership and is willing to put your passion into action?

Shaffer Interns are involved in supporting projects, events, and initiatives that promote the tradition of student involvement at Indiana University. Interns work closely with staff in Student Life and Learning and participate in leadership development training. Additionally, this program is designed as a cohort experience, which means that interns have the opportunity to work and support one another throughout the year. Interns will have the opportunity to exercise their own creativity and autonomy in their internship project area.

Examples of internship areas include:
·         Student Involvement Fair
·         Student Organization Celebration
·         Greek Assessment and Awards Program
·         LEAD IU
·         Marketing and Social Media

Internships typically require 5 hours per week and last for the entire academic year (Fall, Spring). Each semester interns receive a stipend of $500.

Shaffer Leadership Interns are eligible to register for credit through the School of Education and LEAD IU.
