I am looking for International Studies students to pair up as
Conversation Partners
with International Graduate Students for an hour a week of cultural exchange for about six weeks.
The graduate students are enrolled in “Communication Skills for International AIs” and want to learn about American culture, campus culture, you and your experiences, and how their undergraduate experience was the same or different from yours.
You will be given a handbook, to use if you want, with suggested topics, questions, and meeting places to spark conversation. The handbook is an extra; it’s not required.
We will have an initial gathering to introduce the partners, but after that you arrange your own meeting times and places to suit your schedules.
For the past several years, students from International Studies have been wonderful volunteers.
If you can spare an hour, we’d love to have you participate.
