International Delegation on Human Trafficking Coming to IUB

The International Center of Indianapolis works in collaboration with the US State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs on their International Visitor Leadership program (IVLP) to bring established or potential foreign opinion makers in government, public policy, education, media, labor, the arts etc.. to the US to meet with their professional counterparts and gain an appreciation of the ethnic, cultural, political and socio economic diversity of the US. I attached an overview of this program for your information.

On August 6 to 10 , the International Center will be hosting 10 visitors from The Middle East, North Africa and South Central Asia who have been selected by US Embassies and  invited by the US State Department to participate in a 3 week program focusing on Trafficking in persons.

The delegation will be in Bloomington on Monday, August 8, and they are trying to organize a meeting with students interested in this issue.  Delegates come from Egypt, Bahrein, Kuweit, Bangladesh, Nepal, Tunisia, and Jordan.

EMAIL EMILY WILLIAMS (elwill@indiana.edu) IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE RECOMMENDED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.
