Information Session on Thursday, January 13 at 4:00 pm
Beginning in the summer of 2011, the IU at Oxford program will become an annual, six-week program with an environmental policy focus. Participants will spend six weeks at the University of Oxford, July 3 to August 13:
• Gaining the skills they need to become future leaders in environmental policy
• Enjoying lectures and discussions with world-renowned Oxford faculty and other environmental policy experts
• Learning from the European perspective on the environment through course-related field trips, such as visits to Parliament, United Kingdom environmental agencies, publicly-managed lands, green businesses, a waste and recycling centre, and a nuclear power plant
• Relaxing on a mid-program trip to the West Country, which will include a visit to the ancient city of Bath and an inner circle tour of Stonehenge
• Experiencing life in a well-planned European city
The two courses will be V450/V550 Environmental Regulation Strategies: Comparative Policy Analysis and V450/V550 Climate Change and Global Governance. This year, we will be providing SPEA Honors and Hutton Honors credit for undergraduate students who enroll in the V550 version of the courses.
