Apply to Become a Shaffer Leadership Intern with Student Activities
Are you a student who cares about leadership and is willing to put your passion into action? The Student Activities Office (SAO) is accepting applications for up to 8 undergraduate student leadership interns during the Spring and Fall semesters of 2011. Each position entails between 4-5 hours per week in the following areas:
· Risk Management and Student Organizations | · 2011 MyINvolvement Fair (formerly the Student Involvement Fair) |
· 2011 Student Organization Celebration | · Fraternity/Sorority Pillars of Excellence Program |
· LEAD IU |
Shaffer Leadership Interns will receive training and support from SAO staff and are eligible to register for credit through the School of Education and LEAD IU, EDU U208—Training for Paraprofessionals.
To apply, complete the appropriate attached application and submit to sao@indiana.edu by 5pm on Wednesday, December 15th.

A pioneer in the field of student affairs, Dr. Shaffer had a lasting legacy on the students he served at IUB. In the spirit of the Dr. Shaffer’s commitment to student involvement, leadership, and peer mentorship, the Student Activities Office has created the Shaffer Leadership Intern program. Shaffer Leadership Interns are high achieving students who have successfully balanced academic success with campus and community leadership.
