The Service-Learning Program is delighted to announce that we have funding for service-learning scholarships to support students taking service-learning classes that could involve travel for their service. Scholarships of $250 are available to fund students enrolled in service-learning courses doing service-learning projects domestically; and scholarships of $500 are available to fund students enrolled in service-learning courses doing service-learning projects internationally. Typically, these scholarships will not cover the entire costs of these trips, but our hope is that they will help to defray the cost to students and encourage increased enrollment in these courses. Applications must be received by Friday, December 5, 2014 for spring scholarships/travel and Friday, April 24, 2015 for summer scholarships/travel. Please note that these deadlines are moved up from last year to better accommodate course timelines.
The scholarship application is available from our Web page at:
Please distribute widely to faculty and students who might be interested and contact Michael Valliant (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions.
