Leadership Opportunity for College of Arts & Sciences Students

Want to develop leadership and networking skills? As part of the College Luminaries Program, you can meet successful IU alumni and learn how to become as successful as they are. Alumni who participated in last year's program:

·  President of Disney Consumer Products

·  Executive Director of NHL Players’ Association

·  Federal Judge nominated by President Obama

The College Luminaries Program is a new student organization from the College of Arts and Sciences looking for motivated student leaders. We aim to invite IU College of Arts & Sciences alumni back to campus every fall for a three-day stay filled with classroom talks, panel discussions, dinners, and other social activities. These alumni, called Luminaries, are exceptional, multifaceted individuals who have reached a high level of success in their professional fields. We hope that these Luminaries will provide mentorship to students by sharing their experiences, giving advice, and offering connections.

The governing body of the program, the Luminaries Program Council, wants to identify 12 Hoosier Hosts - enthusiastic and dedicated student leaders to serve as liaisons to the Luminaries. Hoosier Hosts will accompany these prestigious alumni to and from destinations, as well as attend special events featuring the Luminaries during the program's 3-day event in November. As the Luminaries’ foremost contact, Hoosier Hosts will build important connections with and learn from these professionals who developed their paths for success on the IUB campus. The Hoosier Hosts will play an integral role in the program’s success. All students who have a major or minor in the College of Arts and Sciences are welcome to apply!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us at collegeluminaries@gmail.com. The application is attached and is due on Thursday, February 20th at 11:59 PM.
