Enter the EASC Facebook Photo Contest for a Chance to Win $100!
The East Asian Studies Center is having a competition to choose a new banner for our Facebook page. Have you taken a photo that represents East Asia or East Asian Studies to you?
The first prize winner will receive $100 and will have his or her photo featured on the EASC Facebook Page. We’ll also be selecting two runners up who will... receive $20 each. All three photos will be periodically rotated on our Facebook banner, and we will create a photo album featuring all the photos submitted.
Details: Photos must be submitted to easc@indiana.edu by April 23. A panel of EASC staff will select winners by April 30th and notify them via email. Submissions must include information about where the photo was taken, the names of any individuals prominently featured, and a brief statement (2-3 sentences) explaining why the image represents East Asia or East Asian Studies. There is a maximum of one prize per person, but we will accept up to 3 entries per person.
Disclaimer: Photos must be high resolution and you must have rights to the image (any photos you have personally taken should be eligible). By submitting an image you give EASC the right to post this image on our Facebook page. If we would like to use your photo on any other materials we will request your permission first.
The value of the prizes awarded are considered taxable income to the recipient and may require the university to report the value of the prize to federal and state revenue agencies. In accordance with IU policy & IRS regulations, prize winners will need to complete a W-9 or a W8BEN form (unless the prize recipient is an Indiana University student or employee, in which case the recipient must provide their ten-digit University ID#) as well as to provide us with a mailing address before we can deliver your prize.
