Stepping Stones, Inc, transitional housing opportunities for youth between the ages of 16-20 that are experiencing homelessness, is looking for professional students looking for administrative and fund development experience in the nonprofit sector. The beginning of the unpaid internship is negotiable.
Primarily responsibilities will include developing marketing strategies to promote mission, identity and brand within community; create and cultivate relationships with community businesses, organizations, groups, and officials; and collaborate with board, staff, volunteers, and community partners in promoting Stepping Stones. Fund Development responsibilities include grant writing, special event planning and participation and donor cultivation.
A successful intern must be self-directed, able to work in an environment that involves energetic youth and interested in a career in non-profit administration. Must be organized, have basic computers skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Preferences will be given to interns with a passion for fund development.
