Spring 2014 EASC Special Film Screening (Presented by the East Asian Studies Center and the Office of International Services)

Title: Imported from China (Geri Alumit Zeldes; Troy Hale, 2013)

Time: Thursday, February 27, 4:00 PM

Location: Room 123 Moot Courtroom, Maurer School of Law

Imported from China is a half-hour documentary film that follows students from China who are finding a place in a college setting and within the larger U.S. context. It provides a look at Americans from a Chinese lens and at the building tensions that exist as China and the U.S. determine their global relationship. The film also examines how relationships are nurtured and shaped across cultural boundaries within and beyond the crucible of college life and how MSU responds to this demographic shift.
