Program Officer, Central Asia and Belarus, Center for International Private Enterprise – Washington, DC


The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) strengthens democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE is one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy. Since 1983, CIPE has worked with business leaders, policymakers, and journalists to build the civic institutions vital to a democratic society. CIPE’s key program areas include anti-corruption, advocacy, business associations, corporate governance, democratic governance, access to information, the informal sector and property rights, and women and youth.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. with travel to the region.  This position is responsible for supporting Eurasia program staff in the development and implementation of country strategies, communications strategies, and support grants to indigenous business organizations in Belarus and Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan).  Primary area of activities will be in support of CIPE’s NED and USAID programs.  Position is project funded and contingent on further funding.
