Polaris Project
operates the National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC), a national
24-hour hotline and resource center working to improve the systemic response to
protect victims of human trafficking in the United States and abroad. The
program is designed to raise the standards of the anti-trafficking field, to
improve national and international levels of coordination, and to meet the
urgent need of the field for accessible and comprehensive best practices as
well as practitioner-based training, technical assistance, and strategic
support. The NHTRC serves as a global resource center and training and
technical assistance adviser for the international community on building and
operating national anti-trafficking response mechanisms that serve victims of
all forms of human trafficking.
The International Program Specialist will be primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and management of our international technical assistance initiatives which seek to equip countries with the necessary tools and training to successfully launch a national anti-trafficking hotline, incorporate human trafficking services into existing related hotlines, or improve the effectiveness of an existing national anti-trafficking hotline.
