Bilingual or Spanish Proficient Volunteers Needed

My name is Madeline Makielski and I am writing to you on behalf of El Centro Comunal Latino, "a grassroots, community-based organization that seeks to provide an accessible and safe space for all Latinos, with a focus on Spanish-speaking people, to find information, access to resources and a place to hold community events." We are in need of bilingual or Spanish-proficient tutors for a wide range of ages Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. It is a great way to work one-on-one with Spanish speakers and to provide a much needed service to the Bloomington community. Please email elcentrocomunal@gmail.com if you are interested!

 

Please note: You need not be available the entire time slot of 4:30pm-6:30pm. Typically tutoring sessions last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half.  Also, if you are interested in being an on-call volunteer for other events or health programs that El Centro Comunal Latino hosts throughout the year please indicate that as well! For instance, we have a community-wide soccer tournament called COPA planned for late September and early October that will require volunteers!
