2nd 8 weeks classes in Second Language Studies

SLST-T125 Academic Language and Culture at US Universities (3 credits) is specifically designed for international students.  Students will continue to improve their English skills while learning more about expectations of the US classroom.  There are two sections available during the 2nd 8-weeks.  Please see the attached flyer for more information, and please pass this information along to any international students (especially those who are new this semester) who may be struggling with adjustment to the academic culture.

SLST-S305 Teaching Second/Foreign Languages to Adults (3 credits) will survey methods and techniques for teaching second/foreign languages to adults.  There is a prerequisite of two years of second/foreign language study (not necessarily at the college level).  This class would be great for any student hoping to become a language instructor.  The class counts towards the minor in SLST.
