Building Healthy Relationships Intern Position Fall 2012


Middle Way House is a not-for-profit social service agency, who envisions a community where individuals live free from violence and a community characterized by equality between women and men and social and economic justice. They provide legal services, child care, support groups, and teen education.

The Building Healthy Relationships (BHR) Program consists of working with the local middle schools and high schools in Monroe County. BHR is speaking engagements, working with teens, and planning events.

Location:                                 Bloomington, IN

Position Type:                         Full/Part Time (5-20 hours per week)

Start/End Dates:                     Fall/Spring/Summer Semester or Full Year internship

Program Director:                   Cierra Williams

Qualifications:                         The intern position requires flexible hours, organization, and charisma. The intern should ideally have some experience working with kids and have an outgoing personality. It would be preferred that intern is organized. The intern will be working in the office will occur weekly, creating schedules, creating flyers, events, and worksheets for schools. The intern also should have public speaking skills and experience.
