IUB International Studies Internship program with Hilltop Garden & Nature Center

Posting: Hilltop Garden and Nature Center at Indiana University seeks interns from the IUB International Studies program to plan, implement and maintain gardens within the Hilltop grounds.  Interns will research different gardening techniques and based on those techniques, develop, implement and maintain their garden. Interns will be responsible for the successful implementation of their garden with attention to soil amendments, composting, pest and weed control, irrigation and sustainability.  Interns will incorporate various educational components into their garden and lead volunteer groups to help implement and maintain the gardens. Garden techniques and associated educational materials will focus on food security. Although not required, special interest lies with interns who speak Korean, Chinese or Japanese.

Should you be accepted by Hilltop, internship credit is available through International Studies. Students seeking internship credit should make an appointment with Emily Williams, International Studies advisor, only after meeting with Ms. Woodard and getting Hilltop’s approval to intern there.
