Volunteer Abroad During Winter Break

Please note that these programs are not long enough to meet the overseas experience requirement for INTL majors.

This year for the academic winter break GoEco is offering a wide variety of international volunteer opportunities for students from all over the world in the fields of education and community development, wildlife conservation, environmental technologies and  sustainable development, and more.

GoEco is happy to present an extremely unique volunteer opportunity, that encourages students to bring thier own interests and ideas to the local community. A team of international volunteers will live together in shared volunteer quarters, eat traditional Thai food together, and teach English, sports, art, music, and more to local children. One to eight week placements are available, leaving lots of time to make new friends, travel around and get to know the incredible beauty of Thailand. Moreover, you will help to ensure a positive future for children-in-need.

Volunteer at a Lion and Tiger reserve right outside Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The park focuses significant efforts towards expanding the White Lion population. White lions are now extinct from nature and only exist in wildlife conservation centers such as this. In addition to working with the animals directly, volunteers have the opportunity to participate in exciting weekly training sessions for volunteers to learn about survival skills in the wild, tracking, animal behavior, and more.
