Partner with ARC-IU

Greetings from ARC – IU!
Attention, Reflection, Connection: Steps toward an Inclusive Campus

We are students, staff, and faculty who, for the past two years, have organized events to engage all students, staff, and faculty in reaching across cultural and institutional lines to participate in the multicultural richness of our campus and community.

This past spring, for example, we hosted the wildly successful
“Who Am I – U? An Inclusive Conference on Identities”:
you may have heard about it or attended some of our sessions.

Well, we're at it again—this time with a plan to partner with you on
BUILDING INCLUSION ON CAMPUS AND BEYOND

We would like to invite you to join us at our "Action Plan Call Out" to be held on
Sunday, November 6, from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Indiana Memorial Union’s Alumni Hall/Solarium.

We’re interested in partnering with groups and individuals
from the Bloomington campus or community on projects aimed at
promoting inclusiveness both on campus and beyond.
Some possibilities to prime the pump:
Spoken Word Slam: “Who speaks for ___?” (earth, peace, human dignity, etc.)
Class project: Public Transportation as Access to Health Services and Employment
Bring a picture, tell your story: Families around the table
Enhancing Happiness and Human Potential: an interactive installation/event
Embracing Life after Loss: a coffee hour on Spirituality and Healing
Toward a Sustainable Future: a productive conversation across generations
Teach Us Your Song and Dance: a domestic – international evening social

Whether you are alone or with a group, you are welcome!
Whether or not you (and your friends) have a project in mind, we’d like to hear from you!
At the Call Out, we will work together to develop project ideas and action plans,
with reports and reflections to come at a Spring Wrap-Up Symposium.

It’s not just where you’re from but where you are now and where you are going.
It’s not just who you are but what you do and why you do it.
It’s not just the people you’re with but the people you reach out to.

THANK YOU!
