INTERNATIONAL CENTER NEWS

Friday Noon Concert Series
Come take a break during the day and listen to wonderful music performed by excellent music students from the Jacobs School of Music. The International Center is proud to serve as the venue for these popular concerts and invites everyone to join us on Friday, October 14th, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Our guest artists this week will be mezzo-soprano, Yuri Rodriguez, from Costa Rica. A light lunch will follow the concert.
Cultural Coffee Hour – Japanese Student Association
The Japanese Student Association (JSA) will host next week’s Coffee Hour. We invite you to join us on Friday, October 14th, 5:30 -7:00 p.m. at the International Center and enjoy fun Japanese games and tasty food such as Japanese Vegetable soup, Onigiri (rice ball), and Japanese tea.
Japanese Conversation Club – Volunteers Needed
The Japanese Conversation Club is in need of volunteers from Japan who can assist the U.S. Americans students with language practice. The club has a large number of domestic students who are studying the Japanese language and are eager to meet students from Japan.. The club meets on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the International Center.
Seminar Series: Upcoming Workshops at the IC
The International Center will continue to offer workshops this semester as part of its Seminar Series. These workshops will be offered in collaboration with other IU units and they will be presented by experts in their fields. Please mark your calendars!
·         Thursday, October 27th, 7:00 p.m. – “Managing Time Efficiently and Avoiding Procrastination” (led by CAPS)
·         Thursday, November 3rd, 7:00 p.m. – “Ace that Presentation!” (led by the Communication and Culture Department).
