Friday Noon Concerts Are Back!
The Noon Concert Series with its talented musicians is back again this semester to delight its audience. We encourage you to take a break during the day and listen to wonderful music performed by excellent music students from the Jacobs School of Music. The International Center is proud to serve as the venue for these popular concerts and invites everyone to join us on Friday, October 7th, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Our guest artists this week will be pianist, Soojin Joo, from South Korea. A light lunch will follow the concert.
Cultural Coffee Hours – Turkish Student Association
Join the Turkish Student Association on Friday, October 7th, 4:30-6:30 p.m. as they host their annual Cultural Coffee Hour at the International Center. The event's theme will be "Exploring Turkish Culture: Turkish Cuisine and Music". Come and learn about Turkish culture while enjoying delicious food.
Japanese Conversation Club – Volunteers Needed
The Japanese Conversation Club is in need of volunteers from Japan who can assist the U.S. Americans students with language practice. The club has a large number of domestic students who are studying the Japanese language and are eager to meet students from Japan. If you have the time, please consider joining and providing assistance. The club meets on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the International Center.
Seminar Series: Upcoming Workshops at the IC
The International Center will continue to offer workshops this semester as part of its Seminar Series. These workshops will be offered in collaboration with other IU units and they will be presented by experts in their fields. Please mark your calendars!
·         Thursday, October 13th, 7:00 p.m. – "What You Need to Know About a Successful Job Interview", CDC
·         Thursday, October 27th, 7:00 p.m. – "Managing Time Efficiently and Avoiding Procrastination", CAPS, 7:00 p.m.
·         Thursday, November 3rd, 7:00 p.m. – "Ace that Presentation!”, Communication and Culture Department.
