The International Center (IC) joins IU’s faculty and staff in welcoming all students to campus. It is refreshing to see new, returning students, and visiting scholars as well as feeling the energy that everyone brings to IU. As classes get started and the students settle on their daily schedules, we wish you all a successful fall semester.
Language Conversation Clubs
The International Center provides a venue for international and domestic students who are interested in practicing other languages. Below is a listing of the ones having practice sessions at the center.
· English – Wednesdays and Fridays – 1:00–3:00 p.m.
· Kazakh Conversation Club–Mondays–– 4:15–5:00 p.m.
· Korean Conversation Club–Tuesdays–– 7:00–8:00 p.m.
· Japanese Conversation Club–Wednesdays–– 5:30–7:00 p.m.
· Chinese Conversation Club–Fridays–– 5:30–6:30 p.m.
· Mongolian Conversation Club –– day/time TBA
2011 Student Success Seminars--Successful Involvement on Campus
Come by each Tuesday for tips from different campus experts on how to get the most out of your college experience. This is the first of eight sessions. This first session will be facilitated by Steve Veldkamp—Assistant Dean and Director, Student Life and Learning. For more information contact Andrea Maltese at 812-855-5711. 18th Annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival
