Volunteer with International Student Orientation!

International Student Orientation
IU Campus
August 12 through 24, 2011
We need your help!
Every new term the Office of International Services, working with campus partners, puts on an orientation. This orientation is to provide a comprehensive, transition program for new international students to IU and Bloomington. You can help make IU feel like a small place for new international students by becoming an orientation volunteer. We need both US and international students. You’ll meet a lot of new people from all over the world!
We’re looking for reliable volunteers with a positive attitude and familiarity with the IU campus and Bloomington. Orientation volunteers help with greeting students, directing students around campus, assisting students with checking in, running errands on campus, answering questions, and simply helping them adjust to IU during their first week here. In addition, volunteers often participate in social events and informational sessions during orientation week.
If interested, please contact Kyle Thompson at newtoiu@indiana.edu or join our Facebook group: IU International Orientation Volunteers. Fall 2011 orientation training begins on August 2, 2011 (or for those who absolutely cannot be here by that date, August 10th).
