This April 16-18, STAND, Genocide Intervention Network/Save Darfur Coalition will bring together a powerful network of student advocates, community organizers, faith-based leaders and activists from across the country to Washington, D.C. for the second annual Pledge2Protect. This event will bring together hundreds of activists and is designed to educate, empower, and highlight the work of activists who are building and fueling the movement to create a world without genocide and protect civilians from one of the worst crimes against humanity.
Pledge2Protect seeks to create a forum of rigorous dialogue and exchange that focuses on the many issues of Genocide Prevention and covers broad yet carefully selected topics within that context. This three-day event will feature workshops and seminars on Genocide Prevention, Darfur and Sudan, trainings in grassroots organizing and advocacy, networking events, and a lobby day.
Students have been at the forefront of the movement to end genocide and mass atrocities, and we hope you will join us at this unique opportunity to learn invaluable skills and knowledge from advocacy and organizing experts.
