Creative Exchange Program at IU
CEPIU is an organization that will bring together students whose primary language is not English with English-speaking students in order to craft and translate pieces of creative writing from a non-English language to English through regular meetings and workshops. I'm writing to you because I thought that you might be able to contact students and faculty members within your respective organizations and departments who might be interested in being involved in this new program. Students who enjoy creative writing, as well as learning languages other than their primary language, are encouraged to come to our call-out meeting in middle-to-late November (the actual date will be advertised when it is finalized). Also, anyone who is in the least bit intrigued about what we will do should come. Not only will CEPIU give students an avenue to produce and polish their creative writing and become exposed to other languages, but it will also be a great way to meet others who share their interests, as well as be a member of an organization from its beginning. This will also a be a great way to meet a language conversation partner, someone who a student could even meet with outside of their CEPIU activities.
